Robert Olajos
is an award-winning historian, canoeist, & environmentalist (& many other things).
His research & writing focuses on overlooked histories of settler-colonial malfeasance and Indigenous resistance in Northern Ontario.
His canoe trips range from North Bay to James Bay — French River, Mattawa, Temagami, Kesagami Lake, Moose River basin, and Eeyou Istchee.
And his environmentalism, grounded in the unceded Anishnaabeg lands of Temagami, believes that the first priority for wilderness protection must be Indigenous land rights.
